Piece of Art – Creole Cakes
When I first thought of doing “I Am What I Do“, the very first person that came to my mind was my friend Jade and her customized cake creations she calls “Creole Cakes“.
She makes cakes out of almost anything you can think of! Louis Vuitton cake, Harley Davidson cake, Nikon DSLR cake, Scuba Diving, Capoera… She already did them! Oh and recently I saw her post an iPhone cake in it. Being the fanboy that I am, I studied the details of the iPhone cake. WOW, the Maps and Stocks really look like the ones on my iPhone. Even yummier! Haha.
I am not the only one who adores Jade‘s Creole Cakes creation. Everytime she posts photos of these wedding cakes and customized cakes on Multiply or Facebook, she is greeted with “Likes” and positive feedback from friends and those lucky enough to see them. Like my girlfriend, she is a fan of Creole Cakes!. That is why I felt I should tell more people about Creole Cakes. (Skip to Contact Info)
Jade and Creole Cakes
“I have always wanted to be a Fashion Designer, a Painter and then a TV Anchor… but circumstances brought me to the Financial world. It took me a lot of time to follow what I love doing most. A lot of guts, a lot of struggles and deep thinking to free myself and embrace the life I have always wanted. Without my Creole Cakes, my love for Art would have died down together with the withered flowers at my garden. ART for me is so significant. I just couldn’t explain why. It is a CALLING. It is my PASSION. It is my WORLD.”
What I do
“I am a CAKE ARTIST/BAKER. I bake cakes, design cakes, customized cakes for you. Any design you like on your cake, I’ll create it for you.
I am a Photographer too. I love photography and I am a member of Cebu Digital Photographers. If I have the opportunity and time, I may want to venture into photography business but for now, I want to focus on my cakes.
I am a Painter. I started to stir my passion for painting. Hope to paint more this coming months. A soon to be Make-Up Artist. I want to enhance my skills in this field and be the best make-up artist around. ”
About Creole Cakes
“Creole is a Spanish word of Criollo which is the original cacao tree of the Mayan civilization in Mexico, delicate & hence relatively rare. Known as the “prince of cacaos”, it is valued for its fruity flavor and the fine acidity. Highly perfumed, subtle and aromatic in flavor.
God impressed on me to choose this name. ‘Creole’ is His will and I like it too since I love chocolates. And most of all it is also known as the Prince of Cacaos. “
How did the idea came about?
“It is my interest and passion to design, bake and create. As I was doing it, I realized that I’m sculpting more and more cakes each day and enjoying it.Actually, I owe it to my customers who continue to believe in me. They are the one who helped me hone my skills and challenged me to be more creative in my cake designs. I am not opulent like some who could afford to attend very prestigious culinary schools and to be trained by the experts. For me, it is just a dream. Being not an opulent shouldn’t be a hindrance for me to reach my dream and to follow my heart’s desire. I just have to pray to God, trust Him and work hard for it.”
What makes Creole Cakes unique?
“It’s colorful, its young, its chic, its playful and its lovely. And most of all, I put all my heart in creating my cakes.”
Here are some of her cake creations. Creole Cakes anyone?
